The statement was made by FVFA President during a meeting with President of the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations Phan Anh Son on March 5 in Hanoi.
According to the FVFA President, since its establishment in 1971, FVFA consists of members who are interested and attached to Viet Nam. One of FVFA's outstanding activities is regularly organizing booths to introduce Vietnamese landscapes and culture at prestigious cultural and culinary festivals in Finland. Vietnamese products are well-received by the local people. They are impressed with many Vietnamese teas and silk goods.

In response, President of the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations Phan Anh Son stressed that friendship associations, universities, businesses, and non-governmental organizations from Finland are all important potential partners for Viet Nam. The Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations and FVFA need to take advantage of each other's networks to open opportunities for communities such as Vietnamese and Finnish politicians, businessmen, students to meet up. The exchange activities will contribute to deepen bilateral relations as well as the good friendship between the two peoples.
Another proposal by the host is that the Viet Nam - Finland Friendship Association set up a regular communication mechanism with FVFA and organize delegation exchange activities in the near future.
