NA Vice Chairman welcomes delegations of Laos and Cambodia
(Vietpeace) In the evening May 12, National Assembly Vice Chairman Huynh Ngoc Son received the delegations of the Laos – Vietnam Friendship Association (LVFA) and the Cambodia – Vietnam Friendship Association (CVFA) in Hanoi.
At the reception, NA Vice Chairman Huynh Ngoc Son said that the two delegations’ visit to Vietnam is the continuation of the solidarity and friendship between Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia during the course of national liberation and development.
Vietnam recognizes and appreciates the assistance and coordination of the Laotian and Cambodian people in the common revolutionary course, contributing to Dien Bien Phu Victory. Vietnam National Assembly always supports and strengthens friendly relations between the three countries, particularly in the propaganda of the solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia to the people, especially young generations, affirmed Mr. Son.
On behalf of the two delegations, General of the Army Chao Phally and Major General Phouvong Vong phom expressed their honor to visit Vietnam and exchange with VUFO and Friendship Associations in the provinces of Hanoi, Dien Bien, Tuyen Quang, Ninh Binh... Major General Phouvong Vong phom emphasized that the achievements gained by Laos are partly due to the assistance of the Party, State and people of Vietnam.
General of the Army Chao Phally asserted that the Cambodian people are grateful to the Vietnamese Army and people for the wholehearted assistance during the war against the Pol Pot genocidal regime.
The two heads of delegations said that it is necessary for three countries to promote and uphold the traditional bonds of friendship to stabilize security and peace in the region and the world over.
