(Vietpeace) - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam - China Friendship Association (VCFA), Mr. Bui Hong Phuc, received the Chinese delegation of veterans to Vietnam at VUFO headquarters on 10 April.
The delegation, headed by Mr. Le Jia Cheng, consists of veterans and relatives of Chinese martyrs who died in the struggle for national independence and unification of Vietnam.
At the meeting, Mr. Bui Hong Phuc welcomed the delegation to Vietnam, and expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the contributions of Chinese veterans and martyrs in the struggle for national independence of Vietnam.
He hoped that the peoples of the two countries would always stand side by side, and help each other on the way of building socialism, solving remaining issues left by history on the basis of peace and friendship with the motto of "16 Golden Words and 4 Good Spirits".
The Chinese veterans and relatives of martyrs extended their sincere thanks to VUFO for its warm reception; expressed their gratitude to the Vietnamese Party, Government and people for their care of the graves of Chinese martyrs in Vietnam; delightedly witnessed numerous changes in Vietnam and improvement in the people's life; and wished for further development of the relations between the two countries.
Ending the meeting, Mr. Bui Hong Phuc affirmed that the intimate friendship of "comrades and brothers" between Vietnam and China, which has been cultivated by generations, will be unshakeable and unchanged; and that Vietnam always does its best to preserve and promote the friendly relations of the two countries for the benefit of the people and the prosperity of each country.
