The representative of Vietnamese Embassy in Ukraine makes a remark at the ceremony
The representatives of the Embassy of Vietnam in Ukraine, Head of Commercial Counselor Ho Trung Thanh and First Secretary of External Politics Department Le Thu Phuong, have attended the ceremony.
The opening ceremony took place in a formal, joyful and exciting atmosphere. All of the teachers and students from grades 2 to 11, as well as all parents, gathered to welcome and congratulate first graders at the start of a new school year.
The School 251 always tries to hold Vietnamese and Ukrainian festivals for students
The High School No.251 was established on September 2, 1985, to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Vietnam National Day. By 1990, the school was named after President Ho Chi Minh on the 100th anniversary of his birth, following the decree issued by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
School No.251 is a member of the Ukraine - Vietnam Friendship Association, a highlight in the friendship between the two countries. For nearly 30 years, the school's teachers and staff have been dedicated to providing an all-round education to students, many of them are Vietnamese children living in the Troeshina Kiev region. For the past years, there have been many generations of Vietnamese students graduating with good achievements from this school, lays a solid foundation for them to enter universities. In 2016, the school was recognized as a specialized school.
Speaking at the ceremony, Principal Sulga Larixa Panchilevna affirmed that the school has always tried its best to organize both Vietnamese and Ukrainian festivals, often on the occasion of New Year or the Mid-Autumn Festival.

The school has also cooperated closely with the Vietnamese Embassy in many activities to introduce varied information about Vietnam in the period of renovation and development. Not only proudly having the name of President Ho Chi Minh, but the School 251 also has a "Vietnam - Ukraine Friendship Museum" with precious artifacts and documents, many of which are collections of pictures and photographs of President Ho Chi Minh.
Ms. Ekaterina Nhikolaievna, curator of the Museum, says: “many delegations of the Vietnam - Ukraine Friendship Association, as well as President Tran Duc Luong, artists, scientists, and the “Hero” Pham Tuan, have visited the school. At the museum, there are many valuable artifacts of famous people, including Ho Chi Minh's signature and photos of Ho Chi Minh when he visited Ukraine ... ”.
It can be said that the Gifted High School 251 is the highlight of the friendship between the Ukrainian and Vietnamese. Principal Panchilevna hopes that the school will become a reliable place for the Vietnamese community in the region.
