He also discussed the Viet Nam-Brazil friendship and cooperation with over 35 years of diplomatic relations and 17 years of comprehensive partnership.
Ambassador Raphael Azeredo highly appreciated Viet Nam's achievements in the renovation and development process. He expressed his admiration for Viet Nam's remarkable progress in the economy and trade. He acknowledged Vietnam's increasingly important role in the international arena.

Ambassador Raphael expressed his willingness to promote the re-signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between FUNAG and the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations as soon as possible. Ambassador Raphael affirmed that he will continue to support the Vietnamese government, Ambassador Bui Van Nghi, and the Vietnamese Embassy in Brazil in activities to promote bilateral relations in the coming years, including research work, delegation exchanges, and people-to-people exchanges.
Established in 1971, FUNAG is an entity of the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Its primary goal is to foster research and spread knowledge on international affairs, foreign policy, and international relations. The Alexandre de Gusmão Foundation (FUNAG) is instrumental in fostering comprehension of Brazilian foreign policy by collaborating with academic institutions, research entities, and various international organizations.
