The ceremony to announce the establishment of the Vietnam - Cambodia Friendship Association Branch in Hoa Tho Tay Ward, Cam Le District was recently held in Danang.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Mai Duc Nguyen, Deputy Secretary, Vice Chairman of Hoa Tho Tay Ward People's Council stressed that the branch had the responsibility to inherit and nurture Vietnam - Cambodia's traditional friendship. He hoped that the branch would be the core and active team in people-to-people diplomacy activities, contributing to strengthening mutual understanding and friendship between Da Nang locals and the Cambodians.
Mr. Tran Van Son, Vice President of Vietnam - Cambodia Friendship Association in Da Nang shared his experience in orienting some local associations and branches' activities in the coming times. He expressed his wish that the association branch would actively nurture the friendship between Vietnam and Cambodia to become closer and more fruitful.
Mr. Nguyen Van Tam, President of the Vietnam - Cambodia Friendship Association in Cam Le district shared information and outlined some key features of the friendship and cooperation between Da Nang and Cambodia's localities.
He wished that in the new tern, the Association's Executive Committee would continue to promote the positive results achieved, be flexible and creative in operations, constantly cultivate and develop the friendship between Vietnam and Cambodia. At the same time, he suggested that the Executive Committee focus on the main contents to manage and organize the Association's activities to successfully implement set objectives.
