Addressing at the Convention, Mr. Tran Thanh Nghiep, CVCFA’s Chairman, reviewed CVCFA’s operations in the 2008-2013 tenure and proposed an action plan for the next tenure.
In the last tenure, CVCFA has organized various activities in the field of peace, friendship and cooperation.
In the next 2013 – 2018 tenure, CVCFA would continue to maintain friendship exchanges; enhance aid mobilization to support poor Khmer ethnic people; promote health care programs; set up friendship associations in districts; further strengthen information dissemination and education for the youth and ethnic pupils.
Mrs. Vo Thi Thanh Nga, President of the Can Tho Union of Friendship Organizations (CUFO), highly appreciated the outcomes of CVCFA’s activities. CVCFA would continue to maintain and strengthen the good relationship with its partners; take care of 5 Cambodian students studying at the Can Tho University; further promote external information dissemination, cultural exchanges, and education for young people, she added.
The Convention elected a 8 - member CVCFA Executive Committee, and Mr. Tran Thanh Nghiep was re-elected CVCFA’s Chairman for the next tenure./.
