In the 2007 -2012 tenure, DVCFA, its affiliates and the related deparments of the province actively involved in propagating the Regulation on the land border areas, security and order situation. In addition, DVCFA organized variety of activities in the fields of peace, friendship and cooperation.
With the DVRFA’s achievements in the tenure, many groups and individuals were awarded Certificates of Merit of the Dong Thap People's Committee and the Vietnam – Cambodia Friendship Association.
Addressing at the Convention, Mrs. Tran Thi Thai, Vice President of the Dong Thap People’s Committee, highly appreciated the outcomes of DVCFA’s operations, which contributed to the enhancement of friendship exchange works, cooperation and building of peaceful and friendly border.
She hoped that DVCFA will continue with other associations and the Prayveng Cambodia - Vietnam Friendship Association to further strengthen people-to-people diplomacy in the new situation.
The Convention elected a 42 - member DVCFA Executive Board. Mr. Nguyen Van Duong was re-elected DVRFA’s Chairman for the next tenure./.
