On behalf of the Cambodian People’s Party (CPP), the official expressed deep gratitude to Vietnamese soldiers and experts who sacrificed their lives and stood side by side with Cambodian people to help the country get rid of the Pol Pot genocidal regime.

The achievements Cambodia has gained are thanks to prompt support from Vietnamese Party, State and people, he said, adding that Cambodia is determined to preserve and develop the sound relations with Vietnam for the sake of their peoples.

Colonel Trinh Vinh Pha, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam-Cambodia Friendship Association, said he was glad to see Cambodia revive and develop strongly as today.

He underlined the solidarity between Vietnam and Cambodia, adding that the two countries have supported each other in both the war time and the peace time.

During their working trip to Cambodia from March 19-25, the Vietnamese delegation laid wreaths and offered incense at the monument of Vietnamese fallen soldiers in Phnom Penh as well as visited the Vietnamese Embassy in Cambodia and met with the Vietnamese-Cambodian community.
