Global Vision handovers symbolic support to farmers

Global Vision is a non-governmental organization supporting Ben Tre in various fields: health, education,.. The project “Supporting the conversion of plants to increase incomes for poor farmers in Ben Tre province” has been one of the typical projects with the total aid of over 11 billion VND. Global Vision has cooperated with the Ben Tre Advanced Technology Agriculture Center to invest in fruit production chain that increases efficiency and farmers’ incomes.
The goal’s project is to establish a long-term partnership between Global Vision and Ben Tre for the benefit’s community in Ben Tre. Over the last10 years, Global Vision has provided update knowledge and technology to help farmers convert crops and train advanced agricultural techniques to them with the non-refundable seedlings to 4,300 poor and near-poor households in Ben Tre. In addition, it supported 40 green grapefruit trees, 10 pineapple trees and agricultural tools (hoes, scissors and fertilizer) to each household.
In response, Nguyen Huu Phuoc, Vice Chairman of the Ben Tre People’s Committee thanked and expressed the gratitude to Global Vision and called for long-term support from it as well as other South Korean organizations in Ben Tre province.
On the occasion, the Ben Tre People’s Committee rewarded certificates of merit to Global Vision in recognition of its contribution. Global Vision donated a symbol of 1.32 billion VND in supporting farmers that will be received seedlings and gave presents to the Ben Tre province’s leaders.
