Since November 2010, working as Japanese Consul General in HCM City until now, he has actively and creatively taken part in many cultural, social and friendship activities. His support to the development of human resources in Vietnam and implementation of humanitarian projects in health care, education and public welfare in southern cities and provinces have contributed to the mutual understanding and the development of better relationships between the two countries.
Addressing at the ceremony, Mr. Hida Marumitsu said: “I can see that the friendship relationship between Japan and Vietnam has developed ever better in recent years. During my working term in HCM City, I had chances to visit neighboring provinces and found out that the people have been more and more interested in Japan; the mutual understanding has become more profound. I love Vietnam as it is my second homeland. I will do my best to boost the relationship between the two countries.”
