(Vietpeace) On March 31, President Vu Xuan Hong of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO) received Yoshi Maki, member of Japan’s House of Representatives.
At the meeting, Mr. Hong has called for Japan’s investment and cooperation in Vietnam’s banking sector, public investment and infrastructure. Vietnam is in the process of renovation and restructuring human resources in the service and health sectors, which need investment in labour training. The Vietnam - Japan Friendship Association will establish an economic department to provide information and consultation for Japanese investors and facilitate cooperation between Vietnamese businesses and Japanese partners.
Mr. Yoshi Maki has expressed his appreciation for the useful information which could help Japanese investors in doing business in Vietnam. He said the Vietnamese and Japanese peoples share many similarities and their relationship has witnessed good development.
Mr. Hong assured the state and people of Vietnam were fully aware that Vietnam’s prosperity is attached to Japan’s cooperation. VUFO will do its best to strengthen solidarity and friendship between the two countries’ peoples, he said.
