Medal "For Peace and Friendship among Nations" awarded to Ambassador Kong Xuanyou

(Vietpeace) The Ceremony of awarding the Medal was held in Hanoi on April 3rd 2014 at the headquaters of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO).



Attending the Ceremony were Mr. Vu Xuan Hong, VUFO President; Mr. Nguyen Cam Tu, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade; Mr. Nguyen Quang Vinh, Director General of the Department of China - North East Asia of the CPV Central Committee Commission for External Relations; Mr. Le Xuan Khanh, Deputy Director General of the Department of External Relations of the Ministry of Defence; Mr. Bui Hong Phuc, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam - China Friendship Association; representatives of the departments of VUFO.

Minister Counselor and officials of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China were also present.

On behalf of the VUFO Presidium, Mr. Vu Xuan Hong awarded the Medal "For Peace and Friendship among Nations" to Mr. Kong Xuanyou, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Vietnam, in recognition of his contributions to the enhancement of friendly relations and cooperation in all fields between Vietnam and China.

Mr. Hong hoped that the Viet Nam - China friendship will be ever-growing well and deeply, which is imbued with solidarity, friendship and cooperation in all fields, including people-to-people relations between the two peoples.

Ambassador Kong Xuanyou expressed his honor to receive the highest distinction of VUFO and extende his thanks to the relevant authorities in Vietnam for their supports and active cooperation, especially VUFO during his term.

The Ambassador affirmed that he would actively continue his contribution to further strengthening the friendly relations and cooperation between China and Vietnam at any of his position.
