On the morning of May 26, in Hanoi, Ambassador Nguyen Phuong Nga, President of Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations received Cuba Ambassador to Vietnam Orlando Nicolas Hernandez Gullien, who came to greet and take a new working position in Vietnam.
The Cuban ambassador said he appreciated the impressive results that Vietnam had achieved in controlling the Covid-19 pandemic. The ambassador shared a project to vaccinate all Cubans against Covid-19, as well as the development process of five vaccines against Covid-19 manufactured and developed by Cuba.
While sincerely sending greetings from Fernando Gonzalez Llort, president of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples to VUFO president Nguyen Phuong Nga, the Cuban ambassador announced that the institute would postpone its 2021 visit to Vietnam due to the pandemic. The ambassador also hoped that the visit would be held in due course
Ambassador Orlando Nicolas Hernandez Gullien hoped to strengthen cooperation with VUFO and the Vietnam-Cuba Friendship Association through round-table talks, events updating information on Cuba, Vietnam-Cuba's relations, and policies, investment, and economic cooperation opportunities, between the two countries.

VUFO president Nguyen Phuong Nga welcomed the Cuban ambassador to come to Vietnam for his new position. She expressed trust that the ambassador would significantly contribute Vietnam - Cuba's good traditional relations.
