Thai Binh University of Medicine and Pharmacy honored by Kingdom of Cambodia
On June 16th, Thai Binh University of Medicine and Pharmacy hosted a ceremony to receive Friendship Orders bestowed on the university staff and lecturers by the Kingdom of Cambodia on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Viet Nam and Cambodia (June 24, 1967 – June 24, 2017).
Speaking at the ceremony, Prak Nguon Hong, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Cambodia in Viet Nam highly spoke the contribution of the Thai Binh University of Medicine and Pharmacy’s staff and lecturers for many years, who has dedicated to teaching and inspiring to Cambodian students studying in the university.
He thanked the cooperation of the Viet Nam – Cambodia Friendship Association and the Viet Nam Ministry of Health for Cambodia students in recent years.
Under the authority of Government’s the Kingdom of Cambodia, Prak Nguon Hong presented the Friendship Orders to the university staff and 12 outstanding lecturers.
On behalf of all staff’s Thai Binh University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hoang Nang Trong, expressed the gratitude to the Kingdom of Cambodia. In 1982, the university was entrusted by the State to train doctors for Cambodian hospitals. Over the past 35 years, the university has always created the best conditions for foreign students, including those from Cambodia, to pursue their studies. It has trained 426 Cambodian students to become doctors, he said. In the 2016 – 2017 school year, the total number of Cambodia students studying at the university to 178, he noted.
On this occasion, the University awarded graduation diplomas to 26 Cambodia students.
