The event was held in the presence of Nakhon Phanom Governor Pratya Unphetwarakon, Vietnamese Consul General in Khon Kaen Dinh Hoang Linh, and hundreds of overseas Vietnamese living in Nakhon Phanom and neighboring provinces.
Speaking at the event, Nakhon Phanom Governor Pratya Unphetwarakon emphasized that the implementation of the Vietnamese Food Street project will contribute to local socio-economic development. Pratya affirmed that the local government will do its best to facilitate the smooth operation of the Thai-Vietnamese Cultural Food Street because this is also a potential destination to attract tourists.

According to him, the presence of Vietnamese landmarks in Nakhon Phanom, such as the Ho Chi Minh Memorial Site or the Thai-Vietnamese Cultural Street Gate and now the Thai-Vietnamese Cultural Food Street, has contributed to promoting this province's relationship with Viet Nam's localities.
Vietnamese Consul General in Khon Kaen Dinh Hoang Linh affirmed that the official opening of the Thai - Vietnamese Cultural Food Street has brought another good impression, a valuable cultural project, demonstrating the friendly relationship and extremely positive cultural exchange cooperation between Viet Nam and Thailand.
Dinh Hoang Linh emphasized that the Viet Nam - Thailand Enhanced Strategic Partnership is developing substantially, creating an important foundation to promote multi-faceted cooperation and development between the two countries.

Speaking to a reporter from the Viet Nam News Agency in Thailand, Nguyen Ngoc Thin, President of the Vietnamese Association in Thailand, welcomed the project as a step towards closer ties between Thai authorities and the Thai-Vietnamese community. Nguyen Dinh Vi, a representative of the Nakhon Phanom chapter, said the street would showcase Vietnamese and Thai traditions through food and folk music. Initially open on Saturdays, it plans to expand to Fridays and Sundays. Local authorities have pledged logistical support, including security and designated vendor areas.
As part of wider efforts to promote Vietnamese culture in Thailand, the street features around 40 Vietnamese-Thai families offering traditional dishes such as gio cha (Vietnamese sausage), banh chung (square glutinous rice cake), stuffed pork leg, and bun bo (Vietnamese beef noodle soup).
Also on March 22, a delegation from the Vietnamese Consulate General in Khon Kaen led by Consul General Dinh Hoang Linh visited and laid flowers at the Ho Chi Minh Memorial Site in Nakhon Phanom.
Officially put into operation in 2016, the Ho Chi Minh Memorial Site in Nakhon Phanom province attracts about 100,000 visitors each year, becoming a favorite historical and cultural destination for overseas Vietnamese in Thailand, Vietnamese tourists, and international guests whenever they come to the northeastern region of Thailand.
