The association held its third congress for the 2023-28 term on December 8, during which it is determined to reform operational methods and contents, and promote exchanges and cooperation in culture, education-training, science-technology, tourism, and investment.
It will also work to boost exchange and cooperation programs between Vietnamese and Korean educational institutions, strengthen collaboration with the RoK Consulate General in HCM City, and coordinate with Korean and Vietnamese organizations and companies in the southern metropolis to hold charity and trade-investment promotion events.
The congress elected a 15-member executive committee for the tenure, with Phan Nguyen Nhu Khue, head of the municipal Party Committee’s Information and Education Board as president. |
In his remarks, Khue said that since its inception in 1995, the association has seen positive developments, adding in the last term, it made practical contributions to the city’s people-to-people exchanges.
