On behalf of VUFO’s leaders, President Vu Xuan Hong presented the noble medal to Mr. Fernando Curcio Ruigomez, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Spain, in recognition of his contribution to promoting friendship and cooperations between Vietnam and Spain. This is the noble award of VUFO for those who have made significant contributions to the building and development of solidarity, friendship and cooperation relations between Vietnam and other countries in the world.
In his four-year working term in Vietnam, Mr. Fernando Curcio Ruigomez, together with his colleagues, has won trust from Vietnamese agencies. He has made remarkable contributions towards maintaining, enhancing friendship and cooperation relations between the two countries. He has made favorable conditions for exchanging delegations between the two Friendship Associations; held talks with members of the Vietnam-Spain friendship Association about the relations between the two countries; supported in translating literary works into Vietnamese and Spanish languages; collaborated with the Vietnam-Spain friendship Association to held a number of people-to-people activities on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and Spain.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Vu Xuan Hong praised Mr . Fernando Curcio Ruigomez’s significant contributions to the relations between Spain and Vietnam, and hoped that he will have more contributions to enhance the friendship and cooperation relations between the two countries.
Mr. Fernando Curcio Ruigomez expressed his sincere thanks to VUFO and his honor to receive the noble medal. He believed that the friendship, solidarity and cooperation relations between the two countries will further develop and raise to a new height./.
