Featuring performances by students from secondary schools, high schools, and universities affiliated with the association, the event aimed to foster the sides’ mutual cultural and artistic understanding and strengthen the relationship between their people.

The competing teams performed unique art performances, imbued with Vietnamese and UK culture, such as "Tu tinh" dance performance of the University of Culture Chapter; dance performance "Harmony Dance" of Dich Vong Middle School Chapter; and "War and Peace of Humanity" dance performance of the IVS International Vietnamese School Chapter.

In his opening speech, Chairman of the association Vu Dang Dinh acknowledged that with the collaboration of the British Embassy in activities promoting peace, solidarity, and education between the two nations, the association has successfully organized cultural exchange events and introduced traditional Vietnamese culture to UK friends.

Marcus Winsley, Deputy Ambassador of the UK to Vietnam, affirmed over the past five decades, the Vietnam-UK ties have been continuously fortified and nurtured to thrive.

He also hopes that Hanoi's Vietnam - UK Friendship Association will continue to organize many activities to help the people of the two countries come closer together, contributing to building and developing deeper and more intimate friendly relations between the two countries.

The program ended with four First prizes, six Second prizes, and four Third prizes. Of these, four first prizes belong to the University of Culture, Cau Giay Middle School, Dich Vong Middle School, and IVS High School.

The friendship dance festival creates an opportunity to further enhance cultural and artistic understanding between the two countries and the relationship between the two peoples.

On September 11, 1973, the UK was one of the first Western countries to establish diplomatic relations with Vietnam, which was still in the struggle for national independence and reunification.

The bilateral relationship has been continuously consolidated and enhanced, both bilaterally and multilaterally. Notably, after the elevation of the relationship to a strategic partnership in 2010, many important cooperation frameworks and mechanisms have been formed.
