Attending the ceremony were Bui Khac Son, VUFO Vice President and representatives of the Denmark Embassy in Viet Nam.
Presenting the medal to the Ambassador at the ceremony, VUFO Vice President Bui Khac Son said the award aims to acknowledge the diplomat’s contributions to the friendship and cooperation on education, environment, climate change, economy along with investment between the people of Viet Nam and Denmark over the past years.
Ambassador Charlotte Laursen has worked closely with the VUFO and the Viet Nam – Denmark and Denmark – Viet Nam Friendship Association in people-to-people exchange activities and friendship meetings. The Ambassador also enthusiastically participated in events held by the VUFO.
Son hoped that the diplomat, in any position, will make more contributions to consolidating and developing the bilateral relationship between the two countries.
For her part, Ambassador Laursen said she was honored to receive the Medal, the highest award of VUFO , expressing her belief that ties between the two countries will continue to expand, and pledged to do her best in any position to contribute to bilateral ties.
On the same day, the award presentation and exhibition of the Denmark in Your Eyes Competition “I draw my dreams” to celebrate the 46th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Viet Nam and Denmark took place in Hanoi.
