Speaking at the ceremony, Bui Khac Son, Vice President of Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO), Standing Vice Chairman of Viet Nam - Japan Friendship Association and Director of the Viet Nam - Japan Cooperation Center (VJCC), affirmed that 45 years since the establishment of the diplomatic relations, Japan has become a leading partner for Viet Nam. The Center was established to support, create favorable conditions, expand and enhance the quality of economic, cultural, political and social exchange activities for Vietnamese and Japanese people, he added.
He hoped that the center will recruit a contingent of qualified staff and collaborators who will closely cooperate with the Vietnamese and Japanese partners in the coming time, he said.
According to Don Tuan Phong, Vice President in-charge and Secretary General of VUFO, The establishment of the Viet Nam - Japan Cooperation Center is an important event for VUFO and Viet Nam – Japan Cooperation Center. He believed that VJCC will continue to receive the attention and support of the concerned agencies to become a bridge for the friendship and cooperation between the two peoples, as President Ho Chi Minh said, "The future of Japan and the future of Viet Nam are close together. Our solidarity will definitely triumph".
Congratulating to VUFO and the Viet Nam - Japan Friendship Association on the occasion of the launch of the Center, Katsuro Nagai, Minister of Japan Embassy in Viet Nam, said the foundation of bilateral relation is the mutual trust, especially the trust between the two peoples. He affirmed that in the future the Embassy of Japan will always cooperate and create favorable conditions to help Viet Nam - Japan Cooperation Center operate effectively.
The Viet Nam - Japan Cooperation Center is a scientific and technological organization with its function to mobilize domestic and foreign resources to support people-to-people exchange activities. Accordingly, the center will organize and support the implementation of scientific research projects and technology transfers, as well as promote economic and cultural exchange activities between the two countries.
