A large number of local people and Lao students studying in the province participated in the festival. There were 19 agencies and more than 300 Vietnamese, Lao actors with 34 performances.
The festival was held sucessfully with many thrilled performance of former experts, Lao volunteers, members of the Viet Nam - Laos Friendship Association, local people, Lao students that expressed the enthusiasm and sincere sentiments of the two peoples for each other.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, the President of the Viet Nam - Laos Friendship Association of Thai Nguyen province, Nguyen Doan Kình, said that the Festival was organized to propagate the friendship and solidarity between Viet Nam and Laos through arts and dance songs.
At the end of the festival, the organizing board awarded the prizes to the departments and agencies participating. The first prize went to Thai Nguyen Iron and Steel JSC., Thai Nguyen University of Education, Cultural College I and the Thai Nguyen College of Economics and Finance.
