Participants in the event were the Ambassador Extraodinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Denmark Charlotte Laursen; Tran Hong Ha, member of Central Party, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, Chairman of the Viet Nam – Denmark Friendship Association; Bui Khac Son, Vice President of the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations and representatives of Ministry of Education and training, Nhi Dong Newspaper, Kim Dong Publishing House.
Chairman of the Viet Nam – Denmark Friendship Association Tran Hong Ha affirmed that the success of competition that will further enhance the friendship, solidarity and mutual understanding between the two peoples of Viet Nam and Denmark. These achievements are thanks to the support and cooperation of the Embassy of Denmark in Viet Nam, especially the efforts and contributions of Ambassador Laursen during the previous time, he shared. He hoped that the comprehensive partnership between Viet Nam and Denmark would be further developed, for the mutual benefits of the two countries, for peace, cooperation and development.
The competition is cooperated by the Embassy of Denmark and the Viet Nam – Denmark Friendship Association to organize. After launching the Contest, the Organizing Board has received nearly 800 submissions and selected the top 62 finalist for awarding, 50 Encouragement prizes, 6 Third prizes, 3 Second prizes and 2 First prizes and 1 Special prize. The only Grand prize has went to Do Khanh Linh, Class 3D, Le Van Tam Primary School, the province of Thanh Hoa. Through the variety of expressions and topics, the students have expressed their beautiful dreams about the green, clean and beautiful world and the safe and sustainable ecological environment. The dreams in the paintings are their messages from young generations, about our responsibilities to protect the environment, to preserve peace and to foster friendship among the peoples of the world.
The competition “I draw my dreams” is the most vivid evidence of the depth and comprehensiveness of the friendship and partnership between the two Governments and peoples of Viet Nam and Denmark. The traditional relationship and cooperation between the two nations has increasingly left a deep impression on Viet Nam’s socio-economic life through a number of cooperative programs and projects on education, environment, climate change, cultural and artistic exchange, along with economic and investment cooperation.
