Romania’s 99th Great Union Day celebrated in Hanoi

President of the Association Tong Van Nga congratulated Romanian people on their great achievements over the past years, while thanking for their support, adding that the people of Viet Nam always keep in their mind the support that Romanian people have given to Viet Nam during the past struggle for national independence and reunification as well as current national construction and development.

This year also marks the 26th anniversary of the establishment of the Viet Nam-Romania Friendship Association. Over the past  years, the people-to-people diplomacy has been carried out under the guidance of the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations, the Association has had many diverse activities as a bridge for friendship between the two peoples.

For his part, Romanian Ambassador to Viet Nam Valeriu Arteni expressed his pleasure to attend the ceremony. Romanian people were delighted by Viet Nam’s socio-economic accomplishments, building a strong and prosperous country and strengthening their international political position. With many similarities in history and culture, the two people have come closer together. He is pleased to see the continuous development in the good tradition and multi-faceted cooperation between the two countries.
