On November 19th 1950, when the World Peace Protection Committee of Viet Nam was established at a Congress held in Diem Mac commune, Dinh Hoa district in the northern province of Thai Nguyen. The VUFO chose November 17th, the day President Ho Chi Minh sent a letter to the Congress on the birth of the VUFO, as its traditional day.
At the first stop, the delegation arrived at President Ho Chi Minh's Memorial House at the Dinh Hoa Historical Monument Safety Zone (ATK Dinh Hoa). In the holy atmosphere at the Temple of Uncle Ho - ATK Dinh Hoa, Centre of Wind Capital of the North Vietnam War Zone in the past, the delegation respectfully bows to hero's soul of great President Ho Chi Minh of the nation.
According to Son, with its role as a social-political organization focusing on people-to-people external relations, the VUFO has showed itself as an active, flexible, innovative and effective agency. It has contributed largely to the country’s reforms, nation-building and defense. Son also thanked the local authority and the local people have created favorable conditions to preserve and protect this important national historical site.
Next, the VUFO delegation and the leaders of the Thai Nguyen Department of Foreign Affairs paid a courtesy visit to the five families who had preserved the relics of the Viet Nam’s Committee for World Peace Protection. On behalf of the Union, Son sent a deep thanks to the families who helped facilitate the building and protection of the relic.
At the end of the working day, the delegation had a friendship football match and exchange with the Youth Union of the Department of Foreign Affairs in particular and Thai Nguyen's agencies in general.
