President of Vietnam - India Friendship Association Trương Minh Tuấn receives India Vietnam Solidarity Committee in West Bengal Geetesh Sharma
(Vietpeace) On June 12th, Trương Minh Tuấn, Minister of Information and Communications, the President of the Vietnam – India Friendship Association received the President of India Vietnam Solidarity Committee (IVSC) in West Bengal Geetesh Sharma during his official visit in Vietnam (from 11-26/6).

In the meeting, Minister Trương Minh Tuấn welcomed the visit to Vietnam of IVSC delegation and he appreciated the achievement of cooperation between the Vietnam – India Friendship Association and IVSC in recent years.
Minister Tuấn generalized the friendship and traditions between two countries which share the common in culture and religion (including Buddhism and Hinduism). The relationship developed by President Hồ Chí Minh and India Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru would continue to strengthen and the Vietnam – India Friendship Association was established to preserve and nurture ties of friendship.
He also reviewed many outstanding cooperation activities between Vietnam and India in the potential field of information technology and telecommunications.
For his part, the President of IVSC Geetesh Sharma thanked the Minister for his precious sentiments as well as the Vietnam – India Friendship Association during his visit to Vietnam.
He has visited and worked in Vietnam several times and also witnessed the Vietnam’s remarkable progress in various fields, he expressed. The two sides agreed to promote the bilateral friendship relations by propagandizing to all walks of life, especially young generation of the two countries in cooperation with the Vietnam – India Friendship Association.
