(Vietpeace) A delegation of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO) and the Vietnam – India Friendship Association (VIFA) led by Ambassador Vu Quang Diem, VIFA Vice Chairman visited India to attend activities celebrating the 40th anniversary of Vietnam’s reunification on the invitation of the All India Peace and Solidarity Organization (AIPSO). The activities are held by AIPSO in the cities of Cochin, Hyderabad and New Delhi.
The well-organized events have drawn a large number of Indian people and the media, contributing to strengthening mutual understanding and friendship between the two countries’ peoples as well as enhancing prestige and image of Vietnam for peace, stability and development in the region and the world.
Apart from joining public activities, the Vietnamese delegation also met with leaders of the Communist Party of India (CPI) and the Communist Party of India Marxist (CPIM), held exchanges with political parties’ agencies and revolutionary veterans who have fought for independence and freedom of India.
Taking this opportunity, the delegation also exchanged views with AIPSO on organising the 7th Vietnam – India People’s Friendship Festival in India in the last quarter of 2015.
