Vietnam President receives Indian friendship group
The Indo-Vietnam Solidarity Committee in India’s West Bengal State made a courtesy visit to State President Truong Tan Sang on Dec. 11, 2014.
In the meeting at the Presidential Palace, President Sang highlighted efforts of the two countries’ leaders in maintaining and developing the long lasting traditional bond of friendship. Expressing his delight at the growing ties between the two countries’ peoples, President Sang confidently believed that the bilateral cooperation in various fields would develop both in depth and size.
Speaking on behalf of the IVSC members, IVSC president Geetesh Sharma warmly thanked President Truong Tan Sang for the reception and reported of the recent publication of President Ho Chi Minh’s biography in Hindi language. Sharma said that the publication carried historical and cultural values and reflected his admiration toward President Ho Chi Minh.
President Sang expressed his appreciation of Sharma’s work, saying the work was meaningful, reflecting the long-lasting friendship and solidarity between Vietnam and India.
A day before, IVSA members were received by leaders of the Vietnam-India Friendship Association. The delegation accomplished a 10-day visit in Vietnam on December 14, 2014.
