Vietnam-India People’s Friendship Festival in 2015
Pallab Sengupta, Politburo member, head of the Communist Party of India (CPI)’s Central Commission for International Affairs, Secretary General of All India Peace and Solidarity Organization (AIPSO) paid a visit to Vietnam from 2 to 9 November.
Talking about the upcoming Vietnam- India People’s Friendship Festival, which is to be held in India in 2015, Sengupta said he wished the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO), VIFA and AIPSO would further cooperate in organizing people-to-people exchange in various manners to consolidate and strengthen the traditional bond of friendship between the two peoples. He said India highly evaluated the cooperative relations with Vietnam and aimed to develop the bilateral people-to-people ties.
Mrs. Nguyen Thi Hoang Van, VUFO Vice President affirmed that the 7th friendship festival would include various activities apart from cultural performance and exchanges. A series of seminars on information exchange and measures on enhancing mutual understanding and solidarity will be held in the framework of the festival.
Van also expressed her delight on the good developments in friendly and cooperative relations between Vietnam and India, which are reflected through high-level visits by leaders of the two countries, and agreements in all fields, creating a firmer ground and favorable conditions for the development of friendship exchange between the peoples of Vietnam and India.
