In this first 6 months, VCFA successfully organized various events including anniversary of Cuba’s National Day in Son Tay. Hiron Victory in Tuyen Quang Province... These events became an important bridge to contribute to the friendship and solidarity, the expansion of cooperation on many areas between Viet Nam and Cuba.
Despite many difficulties in terms of personnel, funding ...the Association excellently accomplished its assigned tasks with the efforts and active support of the Standing Committee members.
Regarding of the plans for the rest of 2017, the Association's key tasks for the future are to accelerate promoting the image of Viet Nam, its people, and achievements, and organize regular exchanges and activities during holidays to strengthen mutual understanding and friendship between the two countries. It will also hold talks among small and medium sized enterprises from both countries to seek opportunities for cooperation and boost the Viet Nam - Cuba friendship, engage in more trade and investment projects with Viet Nam and pave the way for Vietnamese investors to operate in Cuba and educate younger generations on the ties.
VCFA Chairwoman Truong Thi Mai praised the significant contributions of the VCFA to the development of Viet Nam and Cuba ties; highly appreciated the delegates’ presentations, particularly the proposed solutions to improve the operations efficiency of the Association and it has regularly held activities to bolster people - to - people connections between the two peoples, contributing to strengthening the friendship it represents.
She appreciated comments of participants and emphasized that the Association will continue expanding its education and communications programmes, promoting the traditional friendship by celebrating major anniversaries including, and organizing exchanges of experts and students.
In addition, the VCFA’s President expects the Association to maintain regular activities of the Standing and Executive Committees; continue to develop relationships with the Permanent Associations and Branches, Union of Friendship Organizations, the Embassy, with special focus on members’ expansion.
