The Convention saw the presence of Mr. Vu Xuan Hong, President of the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organization; Mr. Vo Van Dung, Chairman of the Bac Lieu People’s Council; Mr. Nguyen Van Ut, Executive Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Truong Minh Chien, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Quang Trong Ninh, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Department for Foreign Affairs, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; Ms. Le Thi Ai Nam, Vice Chairman of the Bac Lieu People's Committee; more than 120 delegates from the provinces of Ben Tre, Soc Trang, Ca Mau and BLPFA members …
At the Convention, the outcomes of the Advocacy Board for BLPFA establishment were highly appreciated; the BLPFA’s tasks, operation orientations and regulations for the 2013-2018 tenure were discussed and adopted.
Addressing at the Convention Ms. Le Thi Ai Nam hoped that BLPFA would further enhance the dissemination of external information so that international friends and the people of the world could have a full understanding of Vietnam, the propaganda of the Party’s and State’s policies and the achievements socio-economic development, the popularization of the image of the province to attract international friends and foreign investment.
The Convention elected a 23 - member Executive Board. Mr. Le Hoang Minh, former Vice President of the Vietnam Farmers Association was elected BLPFA Chairman. Mr. Do Viet Thang and Mr. Truong Tan Muoi were elected BLPFA Vice Chairmen./.
