Present at the reception were Mr. Nguyen The Quang, Head of the Management Board of the Vietnam-China Friendship Palace Project; representatives of the Vietnam - China Friendship Association, Chinese Embassy and Yunnan Construction Company.
At the reception, Mr. Li Wenming said that the purpose of the visit was to promote the construction of the Vietnam - China Friendship Palace, to survey the construction site, material facilities and preparations for ground-breaking ceremony.
The Chinese side has chosen Yunnan Construction Company as the contractor and Shanyang Supervision Company as the supervisor, which are reputable in China and have implemented numerous projects in China and Southeast Asian countries.
Mr. Phong welcomed the delegation’s working visit, and added that VUFO and the Management Board of the Vietnam - China Friendship Palace have made good preparations for the construction site, material facilities and legal procedures for the project. The approval of the general design and signing of the construction contracts with Chinese related sides will be simultaneously carried out.
Mr. Phong stressed that the Vietnam-China Friendship Palace Project will serve as a symbol of friendship between Vietnam and China.
Both sides expected the work will be soon started and completed in the shortest time, and agreed that the Management Board of the Vietnam-China Friendship Palace along with the Shenyang Supervision Company will be responsible for supervision of the work quality while the Vietnam National Acceptance Council will assume the role of checking upon delivery.
The Palace is expectedly built within 27 months since the signing of the contracts. Currently, the two sides are considering terms of the construction and supervision contracts.
