Japanese Ambassador awarded Medal “For Peace and Friendship Among Nations”

(Vietpeace) The ceremony on awarding the medal “For Peace and Friendship Among Nations” was held at the headquarters of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO) on September 12th in Hanoi.


Present at the meeting were Mr. Vu Xuan Hong, VUFO President; Mr. Yasuaki Tanizaki, Japanese Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Vietnam; Mr. Nghiem Vu Khai, Deputy Minister of Science and Technology, President of the Vietnam - Japan Friendship Association; Dr. Nguyen Si Dung, Deputy Chairman of the National Assembly Office; representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; staff of the Japanese Embassy; and correspondents from media agencies.

For the working term in Vietnam, Mr. Yasuaki Tanizaki has positively contributed to the comprehensive development of friendship relation between Vietnam and Japan. He has actively participated in the activities organised by the Vietnam - Japan Friendship Association; supported the Japan Alumni of Vietnam’s activites, such as home stay’s program in Vietnam and Japan for secondary school teachers and pupiles.

On behalf of the VUFO’s leaders, President Vu Xuan Hong highly acclaimed Ambassador Yasuaki Tanizaki’s significant contributions to the development of friendship and cooperation relations between Vietnam and Japan. The medal awarding honors and recognises his contributions.

Mr. Yasuaki Tanizaki was grateful to VUFO for collaboration and support to the Embassy of Japan over the past years. He enjoyed himself witnessing the strong development of Vietnam-Japan Strategic Partnership in all fields. VUFO has played an important role, he said, in promoting people-to-people exchange, cultural and educational exchanges…

Ambassador Yasuaki Tanizaki said it was his honor to receive VUFO’s noble medal. It was not only for himself, but also for the people who had contributions to the development of friendship and cooperation relations between Vietnam- Japan, he said.
