The event was attended by Mr. Don Tuan Phong, VUFO Vice President, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoang Van, VUFO Secrectary General and some representatives of related departments.
At the reception, Mr. Phong warmly welcomed the LCPS’s visit and congratulated Laos on its great achievements in socio-economic development, which promoted Laos’ status in the region and the world.
Vice President Phong also briefed the delegation on VUFO’s recent acitivities and plans. He affirmed that VUFO will do its best with LCPS in conservation and cultivation of the Vietnam – Laos special solidarity relationship for the benefit of the two peoples, for peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and the world.
On behalf of the delegation, Mr. Khamphan Simamalavong thanked VUFO for helping Laos successfully organize Asia-Europe People’s Forum in 2012.
He also highly spoke of VUFO and VPC’s roles in enhancing the solidarity and mutual understanding between the two countries, and said the LCPS will do its best to foster the friendship and traditional cooperation between Laos and Vietnam.
