Bangladesh Peace Council visits Vietnam

A 5-member delegation of the Bangladesh Peace Council (BPC), led by its President Muzaffar Hossain Poltu, paid a visit to Vietnam from July 7-12 at the invitation of the Vietnam Peace Committee (VPC).

During their stay in Vietnam, the delegation had a working meeting  with  VPC, during which they respectively briefed each other on the socio-economic situation in their countries and the operation of their organizations.

They also discussed regional and world situations, mutual concerns and possible exchanges of visits by students, youth, political and trade union leaders, cultural activists, businessmen and social workers.

Both sides expressed their concerns about the impact of climate change and sea level rise for both countries and agreed to jointly organise workshops on  the issues.
BPC’s delegation also paid courtesy visits to Mrs. Nguyen Thi Binh, former Vice State President; Mr. Vu Xuan Hong, President of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations; and Mr. Tran Dac Loi, Vice Head of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee Commission on External Relations./.
