The Cooperation Plan aims to reinforce the traditional friendship relation and the comprehensive cooperation between the Vietnamese people and the Chinese people, and to further bring into play the good outcomes of the Cooperation Plan between VUFO and CPAFFC for the 2012-2013 period.
The Cooperation Plan for the 2013-2017 period has eight main points, for which both sides will:
1. Actively organize multiform activities to practically celebrate the significant holidays of the people in each country as well as in the Vietnam-China friendship relation as the National Day, the Day of establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries in years ending in zero and five.
2. Strongly intensify propaganda and education of the traditional friendship relation and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and China; enhance the mutual trust between the peoples and the people’s organizations of the two countries.
3. Strongly enhance the role as a bridge of friendship organizations in promoting cooperations between Vietnam and China in the fields of politics, economy, culture, education, science and technology; have active attitudes towards the building of the Vietnam-China Friendship Palace; encourage businesses of the two countries to actively perform practical cooperation activities and participate in social activities.
4. Continue to co-organize Vietnam-China People’s Forums: the Fifth in 2013 in Vietnam and the Sixth in 2014 in China, through which to make proposals to the governments of the two countries, to enhance healthy development of relations between the two countries.
5. Continue to organize the people’s festival activities, such as the Vietnam-China Friendship Festival, to build a friendship atmosphere between the peoples of the two countries.
6. Continue to have effective cooperations in implementation of multilateral activities such as the Conference on ASEAN-China People-to-People Friendship Organizations.
7. Maintain the exchange of delegations at central, provincial and municipal levels. In that spirit, the Chinese side welcomes the delegation of the Vietnam-China Friendship Association, headed by Chairman Nguyen Xuan Thang, to visit China in August 2013; the Vietnamese side welcomes the CPAFFC's delegation, headed by Chairwoman Li Xiaolin, to visit Vietnam at the appropriate time.
8. Annually work out the whole year's activities and concretize the cooperation plan for the coming year.
