At a ceremony on, VUFO’s Vice President in-charge Phong said that the outgoing Chinese Ambassador has made significant contributions to strengthening the friendship between the peoples of Viet Nam and China during his tenure.
Don Tuan Phong thanked the Ambassador for his close cooperation with VUFO and the Viet Nam - China Friendship Association in the activities of the two countries to promote the bilateral relations. Meanwhile, he expressed his belief that the Chinese ambassador would continue to promote bilateral relations in any role he takes on in the future.
For his part, Ambassador Hong Xiaoyong was thrilled to receive the medal of VUFO, which was a great honor and encouragement for him. Working time in Viet Nam has been an important time in his diplomatic career and he has had many achievements, beautiful memories and sincere friends in Viet Nam, including those friends from VUFO and Viet Nam - China Friendship Association.
The Ambassador stressed that the promotion and enhancement of friendship and cooperation between the two countries is an indispensable trend with the interests of the two peoples, peace and stability in the region. The present time is suitable to promote solidarity and people’s exchanges, so there should be political orientation of the leaders and the support of the two peoples.
At the end of the ceremony, the Ambassador expressed his belief that ties between the two countries will continue to expand, and pledged to do his best in any position to contribute to bilateral ties.
