Japanese cherry blossom trees presented by the Japan – Viet Nam Friendship Association’s chapter in the Chukyo region, were planted in Nguyen Van Cu Park, Bac Ninh city of the northern province of Bac Ninh on March 13th.

Attending at the ceremony included Japanese MP Kaneko; Asaduma Sinnichi, Minister at the Japanese Embassy in Viet Nam, and representatives of the Japan-Viet Nam Friendship Association of Chukyo region and leaders of Bac Ninh province.

In the ceremony, a representative of the association handed over and introduced techniques to plant 200 cherry blossom trees.

Asaduma Sinnichi, Minister at the Japanese Embassy in Viet Nam, said the cherry project began in 2012 and so far over 1,000 trees have been planted in many Vietnamese localities. He expressed his belief that those trees will become a bridge connecting the Japanese and Vietnamese.

The reception and planting of cherry blossoms contributed to promoting images, beauty and culture of Japan to the people of Bac Ninh city; further enhancing mutual understanding and trust; to affirm the close relationship and co-operation between the two countries.
