Delegation of VESAMO pays a courtesy visit and works in Vietnam
(Vietpeace) At the invitation of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations and the Vietnam – South Korean Friendship Association, the delegation of the Association of People Loving Vietnam in the Republic of Korea (VESAMO), led by Chairman Chang Ho Ick, paid a courtesy visit and worked in Vietnam from 02-05 May, 2017.
During the visit, the delegation was received by Mr. Lê Văn Thanh, Vice President of People’s Committee of Quảng Nam province, Chairman of Quảng Nam Union of Friendship Organizations. The delegation met the leaders of the Vietnam – South Korea Friendship Association, the Vietnam Union of friendship Organizations... and donated US$7,000 to 35 Agent Orange / Dioxin Victims in Quang Nam province, US$3,200 and 03 wheelchairs to Agent Orange / Dioxin victims center and the children with disability in Quang Nam; financial support of US$2,000 for a family that was a victim of Agent Orange in Quang Nam... VESAMO was founded in 2002 in Busan, South Korea. VESAMO members are primarily comprised of people working in specialized professions such as intellectuals, entrepreneurs, lawyers, arts... Over the past 15 years, VESAMO has always sympathized and provided sincere support to the Vietnamese community in South Korea including students, workers, Vietnamese brides... Besides, VESAMO has organized meetings with Vietnamese delegations to visit Busan with a view to enhancing partnership and promoting foreign investment to Vietnam. Over the past five years, VESAMO has developed programs to help victims of Agent Orange / Dioxin and Vietnamese students in difficult conditions. On 30th April every year, the visit to Vietnam is traditional activity of VESAMO to celebrate the anniversary of the South liberation, reunification of the country. HA
