At the ceremony, Nguyen Cong Tanh, the President of Ho Chi Minh city’s Vietnam – Japan Friendship Association expressed his gratitude the HCMC People’s Committee, HCMC’s Party Committee, the HCMC Union of Friendship Organizations... for their support. He said that over the past 25 years, the association has always played an important role in the development of people and diplomatic relations between Viet Nam and Japan in general, and Ho Chi Minh city and Japan in particular.
With 25 branches, it has had many cultural exchanges, organized friendship and social charity events and admitted many Vietnamese and Japanese business members actively contributing to strengthening and enhancing the friendship between the Vietnamese people, including people of the city, and the Japanese people.
On this occasion, the exhibition themed "Japanese peace movement supports Viet Nam during the wartime (1954 - 1975) and Viet Nam - Japan Friendship" was opened with more than 200 images, materials and exhibits in order to introduce events taking place during the anti-Viet Nam war movement in Japan.
The exhibition is scheduled to open to visitors from 20/8 to 20/10/2017.
