Established on September 14, 2015, the Viet Nam – Spain Association of Hanoi city now has 12 chapters. They all have been active in promoting the image of Hanoi and Viet Nam at large to international friends, especially those from Spain.
In the 2017-2022 tenure, the Hanoi chapter will maintain its close coordination with the Viet Nam - Spain Friendship Association to effectively implement its functions and tasks, while improving the quality of friendship exchange activities to be co-organized with the Spanish Embassy.
Charge d’Affaires of Spain Embassy in Viet Nam Miguel Moro Aguilar said that 2017 is a particularly important year in diplomatic relations between Viet Nam and Spain as the two countries mark the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. The two countries share many similarities in common in such fields as politics, diplomacy, economy and culture and he believes in the stronger development of the two countries’ relations in the future.
